Hello from Japan

I am Serhat, and I bring a background of approximately 15 years as a webmaster. My passion for horology traces back to my high school years, marking a history of nearly two decades. Throughout my life, the people I hold dearest have always gifted me timepieces, which forged a profound and enduring bond between myself and these mechanical marvels.

Having resided in Japan for the past five years, my reverence for vintage Japanese watches has grown exponentially. The meticulous craftsmanship and enduring quality found in 1970s and 1980s calibers from brands like Citizen and Seiko have truly transformed me into a devoted horological enthusiast.

I am currently based in Nagano Prefecture—the very region where Seiko brought some of its most exceptional timepieces to life. Here, I am attending a specialized course instructed by former Seiko artisans, dedicating myself to obtaining a Level 3 watch repair technician license.

Within this archive, I will document my personal watchmaking experiences, share reflections on life, and showcase the vintage Japanese timepieces I have flawlessly restored to working order.
